Handyman With New Job Buys First-Ever Fridge for Family
Hard work is made even more rewarding when one can accomplish things they have never done before; for Shayibu, he has saved and bought his family their first-ever fridge.
Johannesburg, South Africa (26 September 2023) – For many of us, we never think that the fridge that is constantly running in the kitchen is considered a luxury. But for Shayibu and his family, their new fridge is the greatest luxury of all.
Having started working as a handyman in Johannesburg, Shayibu has slowly been building himself a good reputation and putting away money to better his family’s life.
Shaybiyu managed to get a few small jobs helping Stephen Ferreira from the organisation ‘[**Charity Begins With Me**](https://www.goodthingsguy.com/?s=Charity+Begins+with+Me)‘ and it was here his wholesome story was shared recently.
“Shayibu has been helping us paint, and move, and pack boxes, and waterproof, and fix, and everything in between. He is so extremely willing to work and he puts a lot of pride into every task he takes on.
Today (with a little help) he bought a fridge for his family. He has never owned a fridge before. Walking into the shop so nervous and excited. It was such a special moment to share with him and I have no doubt this will greatly improve his current situation.
He is saving up to buy a microwave next.”
